Endorsement from Christine Barrett

I write in support of Bill Schineller in his bid for a seat on our Board of Selectmen. I truly believe that the town would be lucky to have someone with Bill’s dedication, intelligence, and heart, working with the board to make the best decisions for Sudbury.

I first met Bill in 2016 via the Protect Sudbury group. I was immediately impressed with Bill’s research skills and ability to think outside the box. He has worked tirelessly to explore strategies to stop Eversource from damaging our town. He cultivated relationships with our state representatives and supported bills that would help other towns in the future from having something like this happen to them. His forward-thinking approach would be an asset to our board.

After last year’s March storms that caused power outages for so many and closed schools for 4 days, Bill set in place an article aimed at putting vulnerable power lines underground, a safer and more reliable alternative for our town. With every new issue that hits our town, Bill starts doing his research, outlining the facts, weighing the factors, and sharing what he’s learned.

A devoted family man with a great sense of humor, Bill has worn many hats over the past 14 years in town: soccer coach, Venture Crew leader, curling enthusiast. I firmly support his campaign to serve Sudbury as Selectman, and hope you will extend your vote for him as well on March 25.
